Becca is an exceptionally well-trained couple therapist, very committed to helping couples save and strengthen their committed relationships. She is passionate about this work and skilled at identifying and assisting couples move out of negative patterns of disconnection or fighting into safe and secure with each other. Many people call this experience “falling back in-love.”
Becca integrates Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFT) into her work with individuals when working directly with the couple is not available. EFT is recognized by the American Psychological Association (APA) as an empirically validated form of couple therapy.
What works with models that have been proven successful, through empirical research. She is guided by the belief that as human beings we are born needing safe, loving, bonded relationships and we don’t grow out of those needs. Most of the problems within close relationships are people figuring out how to have both partners needs met so there is trust, closeness and safety.
At the end of the day we all need “Yes” to these questions:
Do you love me?
Will you come when I call?
Do you hold me in your heart and mind when we’re apart?
Can I count on you?
Am I safe to be me when I’m with you, and if I am, will you still love and respect me?
Do you trust me?
Working to help romantic relationships last is Becca’s speciality.
